The UK Government published a Falsified Medicines factsheet on 14th January 2021 setting out its intention to initiate a national falsified medicines scheme for the UK. The UK Government aims to issue a public consultation on the UK national FM scheme within 12 months of Royal Assent of the Medicines & Medical Devices bill 2019, subject to other priorities around UK medicines regulation. At this time, all GB users have been disconnected from the UKNI MVS as EU FMD no longer applies in Great Britain.
