How to communicate to EMVO that a Product Code is inactive

Inactive Product Codes in the EU Hub

It is important to note that deactivating or marking a Product Code as ‘inactive’ in your connection provider’s system, does NOT update its status in the EU Hub.

The EU Hub is not designed to inactivate Product Codes (the Status ‘inactive’ does not exist in the EU Hub). However, EMVO keeps track of the ‘inactive’ Product Codes to only focus its analysis on ‘active’ Product Codes.

What is an ‘inactive’ Product Codes?

· A Product for which the production is discontinued, AND

· All the batches have reached expiration date, OR

· All the packs are in a decommissioned status

What you need to do

If you have Product Codes that are no longer active, you must notify the EMVO Helpdesk manually.

👉 Include:

  • The list of Product Codes to be marked as ‘inactive’

  • Any relevant context (if applicable)

Why this is important

Providing this information ensures that inactive codes are not considered for analysis
