Yes, an authorized OBP user can send an external message through the Conversation section or the “Send external message/file” function to request additional information about an alert.
Communication with an end-user is possible only when the relevant NAMS (National Alert Management System) is connected to the EAMS. The message is exchanged through the NAMS and does not directly disclose the end-user’s personal identity or contact details.
External messages are visible to authorized parties involved in the investigation of the alert.
For internal communication, OBP users can add internal comments, which are visible only to users within the same OBP organization who have access to the alert.
