The purpose of Serial Number-based rules is to help OBPs identify and filter alerts containing Serial Numbers that do not comply with the expected format.
For example, if an OBP configures a rule requiring Serial Numbers to contain between 12 and 14 characters, an alert containing a 20-character Serial Number can be identified as a mismatch and prioritized for investigation.
An automation can be triggered, per market, following the application of the related SN-based rule.
