Find the Landscape of the EAMS and its connection to the EMVS in the graphics below:

The EAMS (European Alert Management System) is divided in two components: the AMS Portal and the AMS Hub.

The AMS Hub is connected to the EU HUB through a service bus that enables the EU HUB to send all the alerts to the AMS Hub. Let's never forget that the EAMS doesn't ever "create" any alert, it provides tools to users in order to manage what it receives as "alerts".

The AMS Hub is also connected to the relevant national systems through their NAMS (National Alert Management System). This allows the connection end-to-end from the OBP to the end-user. It provides a centralized area where OBPs/MAHs/Users can manage their alerts/investigations without having to connect with each specific national system.

Not all the countries are connected to the AMS Hub, therefore the statement in the previous paragraph is only valid for the countries connected to the AMS Hub.

The AMS Portal on the other side is the Web interface of the AMS Hub. It gives to OBPs/MAHs/Users a centralized tool where alert management/automation/review is facilitated.
